If you have the latest version of the app, clinical content updates will take place automatically when you are on WiFi.

These data updates are performed in the background only if you are on WiFi. If you would like to receive updates when you are not on WiFi (not recommended), you can do so via your cellular network manually by tapping the following within the Medscape app:

• Hamburger menu (three lines in top left)
• Go to Data Updates, then select Update Over Cellular
• Tap Get Reference Updates
